WHAT DOES JACS DO?
JACS, an organization heavily assisted by volunteers, is dedicated to encouraging and assisting alcoholics, chemically dependent persons and their families, friends and associates to explore recovery in a nurturing Jewish environment. JACS exists to provide support for Jews in recovery and be an information resource on the effects that alcoholism and drug dependency have on Jewish family life.
JACS is primarily an information resource for Jewish addicts, alcoholics and their family members. Along with facilitating addicts and family members in crisis, JACS goes to shuls, schools, camps, and other meetings to educate the community about the disease of addiction and to dispel the many myths and untruths that are often associated with it.
The following is a list of our many programs and services:
